When I was a teenager, my dad trained as a hypnotherapist and he taught me self-hypnosis. I now know this to be the most amazing gift - but I didn't fully understand at the time what a powerful tool I had access to. Sure, I used it a few times - yes, it was brilliant - then I left it somewhere and forgot about it. It reappeared a few times in moments of extreme need - it was a bit rusty - but it still worked!
Move forward several decades and I work as a hypnotherapist myself. I've worked at this, done lots of training and consider myself a pretty good practitioner. Every person I work with is an individual and is treated as such, and the only thing which is constant in the vast majority of my treatment programmes is giving my clients the gift of self-hypnosis.
Occasionally, clients return after a number of years and guess what? They have forgotten how to use self-hypnosis - even though they remember that it worked when they used it. So I planned a free 'Self-hypnosis refresher' session... and it started to grow into something a little bigger!!
Mini Mindset Toolkit
1. Using laughter for lasting change
Laughter yoga is a wonderful way to raise your mood motivation and mindset. I have collected together a few exercises which I use on a daily basis within my practice. These add to a Mindset Toolkit which is easy, accessible and fun.
2. The Practical Application of Imagination
Learning the power of your imagination and how to tap into that power is extraordinarily powerful, and offers you the freedom to customise your personal Mindset Toolkit.
3. Hypnotic happiness
When you understand how happiness works, and ways to nurture your own happiness, you can start to consciously use techniques on a daily basis to reinforce your Toolkit!
